A gimmer by Sportsmans Bulletproof proved unstoppable when she led the prices at the fifth joint production sale from the Loosebeare and Whitehart Texel flocks at Worcester on Saturday 7th August.
Sale leader at 4000gns was QEL2010774 from the Quick family’s Loosebeare flock, a gimmer out of a dam by the homebred Loosbeare Voomer which was interbreed champion at Okehampton Show as a gimmer. This one sold to Monnow Marquees, Monmouth.
Second best at 3100gns was HWN2004919 from Nicky Hartwright and her father, Jim. This Whitehart gimmer is by Teiglum Cosmic and is another out of a Voomer-sired dam. Buying her were the Dorrell family, Shrawley, Worcestershire, for their Stonegrove flock.
Next in line at 2600gns was HWN2005013 again from the Hartwrights. Another by Cosmic and this time out of a dam by the homebred Whitehart Yeoman, she was taken by Will Braund, Holsworthy, Devon.
Then making 2300gns was QEL2010866 from the Quick family. This Sportsmans Bulletproof daughter is out of a dam by Douganhill Whisky Mac and sold to T Anderson, Banchory, Kincardinshire.
A 2000gns call followed that for HWN2004959 from the Whitehart pen, with this gimmer being by Cosmic and out of a dam by Millar’s Abu Dhabi. She heads to Alnwick, Northumberland, with J Guiry.
Following on at 1800gns was HWN2005180, a twin-born Mortimer Bang On daughter from the Hartwrights. She’s out of a Loosebeare Yahoo daughter and found a new home with West Mains Farm, Gleneagles, Perthshire.
At the same money was QEL2011120 from Loosebeare. She’s by Strawfrank Activator and out of a Mossknowe United daughter. This one joined the journey back to Monmouth with Monnow Marquees.
And making 1400gns was another Loosebeare gimmer, QEL2010853. This daughter of Bulletproof is out of a dam by Whitehart Taylor Made and sold to previous buyer J Guiry, Alnwick.
