William & James Herdman’s Templepark flock took top price honours at the Ballymena Babes in-lamb sale when collecting a 3800gns call for an in-lamb gimmer.
Topping the prices was HKP2402592, a gimmer out of a dam by the homebred Templepark Candy Crush and in-lamb to Oberstown Indiana. She sold to Stephen McNeilly, Drumadowney.
Next best at 2600gns was one from Mr McNeilly’s Drumadowney pen, SPF2401121. She’s by Auldhouseburn Fandabidozi and out of a dam by the homebred Drumadowney Charlie. Sold carrying twins to Drumcon Houdini, she was taken by Martin and Cyril Millar, Millars.
Then making 2500gns was the best of the sale from Philip Dodds, Tullybrannigan. This was DOD2400733, a Corbo Golden Boy daughter out of a dam by Auldhouseburn Eye Catcher and in-lamb to Corbo Invincible. She sold with a top 10% texelplus index and was bought by Ernest Hogg, Bunnahesco.
After that came a 2000gns call for the best of the ewe lambs, with this being one from Sean McCloskey, Glenroe. His leader was SEA2500915, a Procters Cheeky Monkey daughter out of a dam by Knock Yardsman. She found a new home with Sam McAuley, Whitepark.
