A gimmer from young breeder Jack Gault’s Cherryvale flock took the highest bid of 3700gns at the Northern Ireland Texel Breeders Club in-lamb sale, Ballymena.
Sale leader, GCN2404188 is a daughter of Douganhill Gangster out of a dam by Procters Eureka and sold with a top 10% texelplus index and in-lamb to Speenogue Ignite. She found a new home with Brendan McConville, Rathfriland.
Second best of the evening at 1900gns was a ewe lamb from Alastair Gault’s Forkins entry, GAF2504419. This Forkins Hit The Diff daughter is out of a dam by Procters El Jeffe and was taken by Andrew Armstrong, Dromore.
Then at 1600gns was a gimmer from Roger Strawbridge, Tamnamoney. This was SRY2402954, another by Douganhill Gangster and out of dam by Sportsmans Dare Devil. She sold carrying to the 100,000gns Strathbogie Gypsy King and was taken by P V O’Neill, Plumbridge.
