The Society was saddened to learn of the passing of Matt Ridley of the Haltcliffe flock, Cumbria. A renowned stockman and breeder Matt farmed with his wife Margaret and son Craig at Hesket Newmarket and was well known for his success with not only Texels, but primarily Limousin cattle and Swaledale sheep. He will be greatly missed by breeders in both the cattle and sheep sectors for his knowledge and skill.
