Loosebeare and Whitehart hit 4600gns peak

Saturday’s production sale from the Loosebeare and Whitehart flocks of Messrs Quick and Hartwright, respectively, peaked at 4600gns for from the Loosebeare consignment.

Sale leader QEL2312880 is a Hope Valley Drago daughter out of a dam by Sportsmans Bulletoproof and found a new home with B J Layton and Co, Kington.

Second best at 4200gns was another from the same home, QEL2313041. She’s by Teiglum Cosmic and out of another Bulletproof daughter and headed north to join Robin and Caroline Orr’s Halbeath flock, Dumfermline.

Three then followed at 3000gns, with the first of these being QEL2312879. Sired by the homebred Loosebeare Dynamo and out of a Bulletproof dam, this one was knocked down to A and R Colledge, Standish, Glos.

Second at this money was QEL2313266, a Whitehart Class Act daughter out of a dam by Teiglum Cosmic. She was the pick of Peter Barlow for the Moorclose flock, Notts.

The final 3000gns call came for the best of the day from Whitehart, HWN2306479. She is a Haddo Flat Out daughter out of a dam by Gyrhos Boris and was another bought by the Orr family.

Then making 2200gns was another from Loosebeare, QEL2313159. This Whitehart Class Act daughter is out of a Loosebeare Boy Wonder II daughter and was taken by previous buyer, Peter Barlow.

A trio then made 2000gns. First to take this bid was HWN2306804 from Whitehart. This Brijon Deal Breaker daughter is out of a dam by Cherryvale Shergar and sold to join the day’s top priced lot with B J Layton and Co.

Next at this level was HWN2306847, another by Deal Breaker and this time out of a Blackadder Weaver daughter. She headed to Essex with Robin Creighton, Chelmsford.

And the last one at 2000gns was another bought by Peter Barlow in the form of HWN2306642. This Haddo Flat Out daughter is out of another dam by Blackadder Weaver.

Averages, 23 Loosebeare gimmers £1387.83, 23 Whitehard gimmers £1246.30 (McCartneys).
