The Society is sad to share that Colin Ponting of the Penstones flock passed away on Saturday 8th August 2026 after a short illness.
Colin and Kate founded the Penstones flock in 1984. Most members will know him for his showmanship and being a well respected judge. He had shown his sheep all over the country with a lot of success and had made many lifelong friends through doing this.
The Society sends its condolences to Kate, Bridget, Nick, Jude and the rest of the family. Colin’s funeral will take place on Monday 7th September at 1130 at St Denys Church, Stanford in the Vale, Faringdon, SN7 8HU.
