Saturday’s (13th December) Select Seven Sale at Lanark saw a top call of 22,000gns paid for a gimmer from Alan Blackwood’s Auldhouseburn pen.
Leading the trade was BYZ2435259, a Hilltop Goliath daughter out of a dam by the 100,000gns Auldhouseburn Expression and carrying to the 110,000gns Midlock Inferno. This one headed south to join the Sportsmans flock of Messrs Boden and Davies.

Second best at 12,000gns was one from the MacGregor family’s Allanfauld flock, XMM2427854, with this gimmer being a Sportsmans Grand Slam daughter out of a dam by Claybury Dunkirk. This one is a sister to the reserve champion from the 2024 Textravaganza national show and sold in-lamb to the 60,000gns Auldhouseburn In Business Now. Buying her in a two-way split were Northern Ireland-based Adrian Liggett, Corbo and Jonny Cubitt, Drumcon.
Next in line at 11,000gns was another from the Auldhouseburn pen, BYZ2435267. She’s a Haymount Fan Dabi Dozi daughter out of a dam by the Seaforde Empire King and was again offered in-lamb to Midlock Inferno. This one was also bought by a Northern Irish flock, being sold to Messrs McCollam, Carmavy.
And then making 10,000gns was the best of the day from the Garngour flock of Alan Clark and family. Their pen leader was CJN2409787, a Midlock Flockstar daughter out of a dam by Procters Chumba Wumba and carrying a top 25% texelplus index. She was offered in lamb to Tirnageeragh Ideal and is a sister to the reserve champion at the Royal Highland this year, Garngour Highlander. Buying her was William Dunlop, Elmscleugh.
After that came a 7000gns sale for another from Auldhouseburn and another bought by William Dunlop. This was BYZ2435320, another by Hilltop Goliath and this time out of a Sportsmans Double Diamond-sired dam. She sold in-lamb to the homebred 42,000gns Auldhouseburn Impression.
Then selling at 6500gns and again finding a new home in the Elmscleugh flock with William Dunlop was one from the Allanfauld pen, XMM2427777. She’s by Knap Godzilla and out of a dam by Teiglum Exocet and was again in-lamb to Auldhouseburn In Business Now.
Andrew Clark’s Teiglum pen then saw its leader trade at 6000gns, with this being CFT2401653. She’s a Mullan Governor daughter out of a Knock Eastwood-sired dam and sold carrying to Duncryne Houdini. This maternal sister to the 10,000gns Teiglum Goldstar headed north to Aberdeenshire with Stuart Barclay, Harestone.
A trio then followed that at 5500gns, with the first seeing Stuart Barclay recouping some of his outlay when selling BSA2404453. This Monnow Hill Game Face daughter is out of a dam by Procters Chumba Wumba and sold in-lamb with a single to Hexel High Voltage. She went back to Aberdeenshire with Mark Wattie, Tonley.
Next at this money was another from the same home, BSA2404407. She’s a Lylehill GTR daughter out of another Chumba Wumba daughter and sold in-lamb to Auldhouseburn In Business Now, when bought by A and A Gunn, Thurso, for the Shieanhill flock.
And the final 5500gns sale came for another from the MacGregor family, Allanfauld, XMM2427868. She’s by Knap Godzilla and out of a dam by Knockem Concorde and was another in-lamb to Auldhouseburn In Business Now. She sold to G Buchan, Wyreema and Scott Michie, Scotsman.
And at 5000gns was one from Harestone, BSA2404360. This Forkins Fancy daughter is out of a Procters Chumba Wumba daughter and was offered carrying to Auldhouseburn Illusion when bought by M Lewis, Abergavenny.
