A gimmer from Alan Blackwood’s Auldhouseburn flock topped the Select Seven Sale, Lanark, at 16,000gns, with this daughter of Seaforde Empire King being out of a Garngour-bred dam by Knock Yardsman and selling in-lamb with twins to the 90,000gns Hilltop Goliath.
This gimmer, BYZ2231861, sold south to join Messrs Boden and Davies’ Sportsmans flock, Cheshire.
Next best at 8500gns was a Garngour gimmer from Alan Clark and family, CJN2208553, a Claybury Dunkirk daughter out of a dam by Procters Chumba Wumba from the same family as the 32,000gns Garngour Detroit. She sold carrying to Sportsmans Grand Slam and was the pick of Johnny Cubitt for the Long Mountain flock.
Then at 7000gns was another from Auldhouseburn, BYZ2231743. Another by Seaforde Empire King and this time out of a Sportsmans Double Diamond daughter, she was offered in-lamb to Hope Valley Golden Balls. Buying this one was Mark Priestley, Northern Ireland, for the Seaforde flock.
Another from Garngour then made 6500gns, with this being CJN2208576, a Claybury Dunkirk daughter out of a dam by by Procters Chumba Wumba. Sold in-lamb to Midlock Flockstar, she is a full sister to the 52,000gns Garngour First Class and sold to Thomas Ayrton for the Ayrtons flock, with a half share retained by the Clarks.
A 6000gns bid followed that from one from Gordon Gray’s Ettrick flock, GGH2214290. She’s by New View Electrifying and out of a dam by Midcombe Brigadier. In-lamb to Knap Godzilla and from the same family as the 42,000gns Ettrick Grey Goose and the 17,000gns Ettrick Everest, she went home with James Theyer, Clanfield.
Then at 5200gns was the best of the same from the MacGregor family’s Allanfauld pen, XMM2223546. This gimmer by Teiglum Exocet and out of a Castlecairn Vavavoom-sired dam was knocked down to Sheena Woodrow, Isle of Islay, in-lamb to Sportsmans Grand Slam.
And then making 4800gns was another of the Auldhouseburn pen, BYZ2231871. She’s another by Seaforde Empire King and out of a Double Diamond daughter. Scanned twins to Scholars Governor, she headed away with Angus Howie, Devon, for the Millhouse flock.
Also at this money was another from the Ettrick consignment, GGH2214212. Sired by New View Electrifying and out of a Midcombe Brigadier daughter she was sold carrying to Clarks Gray Goose and was taken by Euan MacTaggart for the Rascarrel flock.
Close behind at 4700gns was the pen leader from Andrew Clark’s Teiglum flock, CFT2200665. This Knock Eastwood daughter is out of a dam by Procters Chumba Wumba and sold in-lamb to Mullan Governor when joining R Close, Langbank.
And at 4000gns was the next in from Teiglum, CFT2200683. She’s a full ET sister to the 4700gns pen leader and sold in-lamb to Forkins Fancy. Sharing her in a two-way split were Alastair Gault, Forkins and Messrs Branagan, Largy.
