Mark Patteron’s Alderview flock entries were the pick of the trade at the Festive Crackers Sale, Ballymena, with the flock claiming the top three prices.
At the head of the table was PTT2502203, a Glenside Gizmo-sired ewe lamb out of a dam by Auldhouseburn Fandabidozi. She headed across the Irish Sea to join Nick Legge’s Thornbury flock.
Second best at 2600gns was a gimmer from the same home, PTT2402054. She’s a Strathbogie Gaffer daughter out of a dam by Kingspark Dynamite and in-lamb to Lylehill Gunshot. She found a new home with William Herdman, Templepark.
Then making 2400gns was another Alderview gimmer, PTT2402065. This Lylehill Gunshot daughter is out of a dam by Teiglum Bachelor. She sold empty and was taken by Michael Cunningham, Aughnacullion.
Following her at 2200gns was the best from Alistair Breen, Drumderg. This was a ewe lamb, BQU2501247, she’s by the homebred Drumderg Haribo out of a dam by Midlock Yorkie. Buying her was C McAuley, Co Leitrim.
Close behind at 2100gns was one from the Lylehill pen of Alan Glendinning. This gimmer, GAX2400355, is by Auldhouseburn Ghost and out of a dam by Garngour Craftsman. Sold in-lamb to Annefield Idol, she headed away with Seamus McEldowney, Neilvalley.
And a pair then made 2000gns. The first at this price was a gimmer from Stewart Ferris’ Bellefield flock, AFB2401148. She’s by Haddo Floyd and out of a dam by Harestone Crackerjack and was sold carrying to Lylehill In Your Dreams and was knocked down to David Morrison, Dalwyne.
The other to sell at this money was another from the same home, AFB2401165. Sired by Auldhouseburn Gold, she is out of a dam by Corbo Eye Devil and sold in-lamb to Lylehill In Your Dreams when bought by Alistair Breen, Drumderg.
