The Texel Society is saddened to learn of the passing of Signet ultrasound scanner Stewart Nellist, after a period of ill health.
Stewart initially joined MLC and worked with the carcass classification team for many years. After a career break later in life he joined Signet’s ultrasound scanning team in 2010.
Over the last 10 years, Stewart had been the face of Signet throughout the South West, parts of the Midlands and South Wales; with an annual scanning season that included many Texel flocks across the regions.
