Are you, or do you know someone, aged 12-18 and passionate about Texels and the British sheep industry?
If so, then why not apply to be part of the Texel Sheep Society team for National Young Stars which will take place at the NSA Sheep Event, Malvern, on Tuesday 28th July.
The competition is for teams of two young people and will test competitors in a number of areas, including; stock assessment, ringcraft, livestock preparation, promotional display creation, industry knowledge and breed and industry understanding.
Hosts, The National Sheep Association, describe the competition as an opportunity for young people to step beyond the show ring and develop practical, personal and professional skills that are essential within modern agriculture.
The Society is willing to sponsor a team for this competition, giving enthusiastic young Texel breeders a unique chance to compete in a novel and innovative setting.

Please submit expressions of interest by 12 Noon on Wednesday 10th June
Teams will be required to provide their own sheep for preparation and presentation on the day.
