Society members and friends gathered on Monday evening at the Royal Welsh Show for the Society reception and prize presentation, including the announcement of the All Wales Flock Competition results.
First up was the presentation of trophies from the morning’s judging in the breed classes, with champion, Eleanor Owens collecting the Championship Trophy for her gimmer from the. Topwood flock.
Harley Turner then accepted the Cwmcerrig Trophy for the best animal of the opposite sex to the champion on behalf of Eammon Vaughan, Partridge Nest.
Following that, Carla Jones, Kitrob, presented her family’s trophy for the young handlers’ class, with this won by Alis from the Werthyr flock. Second went to Izzy from the Loxley flock, with third going to Maddy from the Madlot flock and fourth to Cara from Cwmcerrig
And then came the All Wales Flock Competition results, with this judged by Lewis Morgan of the Topbank flock.
Champion flock was the Teilo flock of John and Lynwen Davies and family, representing the Dyfed Club. Other finalists were the Reed family, Scolton, for the South Wales Association, Tomos Ellis, Kauri, for the Ruthin Club and Jamie Woosnam, Trefeg repsresenting the Shrophsire and Borders Club.
