Members are advised that SRUC has currently suspended Maedi Visna testing under its health scheme as its laboratories are operating on skeleton staff and vets have been advised by their representative bodies not to undertake routine blood testing.
For those flocks which are due to undertake routine testing and the MV status of the flock will remain entact until one month after the expiry of the current MV certificate.
At that point the flock’s MV accredited status will be suspended and this will only be reinstated once routine blood testing has been undertaken and provided the flock has complied with the scheme rules in the interim period.
