A Mellor Vale Déjà vu daughter from Alan Glendinning’s Lylehill flock provided the spark at the Festive Crackers Sale, Ballymena, when selling for 3800gns.
Leading the prices was GAX2300232, a gimmer out of a Plasucha-bred dam by Midlock Dynamo and in-lamb to Lylehill Hit and Run with a single. Buying this one was J Walsh Ballintra, Co Donegal.
Second best of the evening at 3600gns was one from Stewart Ferris’ Bellefield flock. This was AFB2301035, a Haddo Floyd daughter out of a dam by Teiglum Bachelor and in-lamb to Tullagh Hidalgo. Carrying a single she was taken by Fintan Hackett, Tydavnet, Monaghan.
Then at 2000gns was another from the same home, AFB2301046. Again by Teiglum Bachelor, this one is a full ET sister to the last and sold in-lamb to Connemara Hilltop. Scanned with a single, she also headed home with Fintan Hackett.
Close behind at 1900gns was another from Alan Glendinning, GAX2300254. This Mullan Eureka daughter is out if a dam by Clinterty Yuga Khan and was offered carrying twins to Drumderg Hitman. She was bought by A McCafferty, Coleraine.
Next in line at 1800gns was the best from the Currie family’s Tullagh flock. This was CJT2302707, a Teiglum Firecracker daughter out of a dam by Ballynahone Cantona. Sold in-lamb to Cherryvale Highclass and carrying twins, she found a new home with David Morrison, Girvan.
And two then followed at 1600gns, the first of which was another of the Tullagh gimmers, CJT2302689. Another by Teiglum Firecracker, she’s out of a dam by Mossvale Visa, she sold in-lamb to Clarcks Godfather and was the pick of Sean Hamill, Limavady.
The other at this money was another from Stewart Ferris, AFB2301049. Sired by Haddo Floyd and out of a dam by Harestone Crackerjack, she sold carrying twins to Connemara Hilltop and was taken by previous buyer, J Walsh.
