Shearling ram Loosebeare Foxy from the Quick family, Devon, topped the Texel trade at the Early NSA Sale, Builth Wells, when selling at 1150gns.Sired by the homebred Loosebeare Dynamic, this one is out of a dam by Canllefaes Vantastic and sold to L S Rea, Dorstone, Hereford.
Second best at 1100gns was another from the same home, Loosebeare Fizz. He’s by Teiglum Cosmic and out of a Brijon Youre The Boy daughter and was the pick of J E and C L Morgan, Felinfach, Powys.
Next in line at the same money was Millend Flame from Russell and Gill Watkins. He’s by the homebred Millend Extra Special and out of a dam by Maerdy Apollo and sold to G Gittoes and Son, Bleddfa, Knighton.
A trio then made 1000gns, with the first of these being another from the Quicks, Loosebeare Foxtrot. Sired by Hexel Diamond Joe, he is out of a Mullan Armani-sired dam and danced off to join S Gamble, Crick, Caldicot.
Second at this level was the best of the day from the Chave family’s Peacehay flock, Peacehay First Pick. This son of Tullagh Dizzee Rascal is out of a dam by the homebred Peacehay Untouchable and was knocked down to A Davies, Cwmsychpant, Ceredigion.
And the final 1000gns call came for Robert and Nesta Watkins’ Corras Fernando, a Langside Dan Dare son out of a dam by Corras Amidale. He found a new home with H Guile, LLansadwrn, Carms.
