It’s now three on the bounce for Lynwen and John Eirian Davies’ Teilo flock at the Dyfed Club Show, Llandeilo.
Judge Gerallt Rowlands, Traws, fresh from his championship wins at the Royal Welsh and Ynys Môn tapped out a gimmer by Castlecairn General G out of a dam by Hope Valley C the Stars as his champion.
Full of character and shape she will be for sale in the Autumn. Their first prize ram lamb was also of this breeding and is destined for the Club sale in Llanybydder.
For the second year running the reserve champion was from Gloria and John Davies, Aman. This was a ewe lamb which had been much admired at their joint open day held with Roland Watkins’ Cwmcerrig flock and the Teilo flock in June. She is by Knap Gate Crasher out of a Tyrcan bred dam by Hope Valley C the Stars.
Winning the first class of the day, the tup class, was Wyn Thomas, Greynor, with Usk Vale Gambling Man, a tup by Glenside Forever II out of a Knock-bred ewe.
In the flock ewe class Aman were to the fore with a daughter of Knap Angus Ogg out of a ewe by Deveronvale Viscount. She will head to Builth Babes in December.
