It was a daughter of the 100,000gns Strathbogie Gypsy King that took the top call of 7000gns at the Nothern Stars Sale, Ballymena, with Roger Strawbridge’s Tamnamoney flock taking the top call.
Leading the sale was SRY2402905, she’s out of a Clarks Bolt daughter and sold carrying a pair to Hexel Hidden Asset. She was knocked down to Noah Taylor, Ballynacannon.
Then making 6500gns was another from the same home, SRY2402980. This is another by Gypsy King and out of a dam by Sportsmans Dare Devil. She sold having been left empty for winter flushing and with a recipient carrying an embryo to Douganhill Gangster. Buying this one was Martin McConville, Glenhone.
And then at 5200gns was one from Adrian Liggett’s Corbo flock, LIG2400884. She’s by Mullan Game Changer and out of a Kerryhill-bred dam by Hexel Diamond Joe. Carrying twins to the 10,000gns Forkins Hawkeye, she was the pick of Philip Dodds, Tullybranigan.
A ewe lamb from the same home then made 5000gns, this was LIG2500944. Sired by Forkins Hawkeye, she’s out of a dam by Mullan Game Changer which was sold to 7000gns earlier in the year. She found a new home with Alan Blackwood for the Auldhouseburn flock.
Following her at 4800gns was another of the Corbo gimmers, LIG2400873. This one is a full sister to the 5200gns Corbo gimmer and sold carrying twins to Forkins Hawkeye when bought by Jaqueline Brown, Drumeagle.
The best of the sale from Alistair and Jack Gault followed that at 4400gns, with this being another by the 100,000gns Strathbogiue Gypsy King, GAF2404014. She’s out of a dam by Procters Deacon Blue and sold carrying twin to Ballynahone Istabraq. She was taken by previous buyer Noah Taylor.
Another from the same home then sold at 4200gns. This was GAF2404064, another by Gypsy King, she’s out of a dam by Procters Eureka and was offered in-lamb to Speenogue Ignite. Buying this one was Geoffrey Cathcart, Carnview,
The Gault’s then took 3800gns for a gimmer by Douganhill Gangster out of a dam by Procters Eureka. Sold with a top 25% texelplus index, she was in-lamb to Speenogue Ignite and was bought by John Greene, Larahirl.
And a Forkins ewe lamb, GAF2504437, then sold at 3400gns. By Strathbogie Gypsy King, she’s out of a dam by Procters Deacon Blue and was knocked down to Jonny Cubitt, Drumcon.
Sam McAuley, Whitepark, then took 3000gns for a gimmer by Douganhill Gangster, this was XMS2401173. She’s out of a Plasuch-bred dam by Teiglum Braveheart and was offered in-lamb to Drumcon I see Stars. Buying this one was Jason McIlhatton.
