This year’s North of Scotland Texel Club in-lamb, sale staged as part of the Aberdeen Christmas Classic, saw a top call of 3500gns for a ewe lamb from Robbie Wilson, Milnbank.
Sale leader was LYM2505767, a Clanfield Golden daughter out of a dam by Holylee Foreman and ET brother to a 3500gns tup lamb. She sold to Duncan Whyte, Newtown Mearns.
Following her at 3400gns was the leader among the gimmers, this time from Kenny Pratt’s Hilltop flock. This was PKH2403811, an Auldhouseburn Fancy Pants daughter out of a dam by Cressage Enforcer and sold with a top 10% texelplus index. Carrying to Hexel High Voltage, she was the pick of D MacNiven Glenfarg.
Next in line at 2800gns was a gimmer from Robbie Wilson, LYM2405440. She’s again by Clanfield Golden and out of a dam by Sportsmans Dirty Harry. She was sold in-lamb to Auldhouseburn Imperial King and was knocked down to S Stewart, Wardes.
A 2600gns bid followed that, with this money paid for another of the Hilltop gimmers, PKH2403710. Similarly bred to the top priced gimmer, she’s again by Auldhouseburn Fancy Pants and out of a dam by Cressage Enforcer. Again sold having been served by Hexel High Voltage, she found a new home with W J Jack and Son, Muir of Ord.
And making 2000gns was yet another of the Hilltop entry, PKH2403821. This Fancy Pants daughter is out of a dam by Knap Blazing Star and sold with a top 25% texelplus index and carrying to Hexel High Voltage. Buying this one was A Cursiter, Evie.
