Robbie Wilson’s Milnbank flock made a successful start to the New Year taking the top call of 3800gns at the Ballymena Babes Sale, over the weekend.
Top call came for LYM1903577, a Cowal Bucking Bronco daughter out of a dam by Aman Vyrnwy and in-lamb to the 30,000gns Teiglum Dancing Brave. She sold to Jonathan Rees, Abergele.
Second best call at 3200gns was shared by two, the first of which was a Templepark gimmer from the Herdman family in the form of HKP1901711. She’s by Far Hey Billy The Kid and out of a dam by Llangwm Vantastic. She was offered in-lamb to Sportsmans Dynamite and sold to Martin Moore, Coole, Co Westmeath.
The other at this price was another from the Milnbank consignment, LYM1903498. Sired by Auldhouseburn Billy The Kid, she is out of a dam by Strathbogie Untouchable and sold carrying to Teiglum Dancing Brave. Taking this one home was Martin McGuiness, Kilcurry, Dundalk.
Following her at 2800gns was the best of the day from Stephen McNeilly, Drumadowney. This was SPF1900366, a Greenstar Alfie daughter out of a dam by Halbeath VIP and in-lamb to Midlock Yorkie. She sold to Messrs Simpson and Calvin, Ballymoney.
Then came a 2400gns call for another from Robbie Wilson, LYM1903640. She’s by Cowal Bucking Bronco and out of a Milnbank Van Wilder daughter. Again in-lamb to Teiglum Dancing Brave she sold to Mark McMenamin, Lifford, Co Donegal.
Close behind that came two at 2200gns, with the first of these being from Neil Watson’s Findrum consignment. This was WNW1900941 a Knock Yazoo daughter out of a dam by Milnbank Womaniser and in-lamb to Milnbank Diesel., She sold to W M Carey Sallins, Co Kildare.
Second at this price was another Milnbank gimmer, LYM1903728, a Strathbogie Yes Sir daughter out of a dam by Aman Vyrnwy and in-lamb to Teiglum Dancing Brave. She found a new home with Ernest Hogg, Enniskillen.
Two then traded at 1500gns, with both of these being from Robbie Wilson. First at this level was LYM1903474, another by Auldhouseburn Billy The Kid and out of a Halbeath VIP daughter. She was again in-lamb to Teiglum Dancing Brave and sold to previous buyer Jonathan Rees.
The other at this price was LYM1903484, again by Billy The Kid and this time out of a Glenside Wild Boy daughter. She sold carrying to Teiglum Dancing Brave and was taken by Gary McClelland, Newry.
