Welsh National Show & Sale – Welshpool
Teiglum lamb leads Welsh National prices at 5500gns
Saturday’s Welsh National Texel Sale at Welshpool was a resounding success with commercial buyers competing strongly with pedigree men at the top of the trade.
Leading what British Texel Sheep Society chief executive John Yates described as yet another balanced and commercially driven sale, was a lamb from the Clark family’s Lanarkshire-based Teiglum flock.
This was Teiglum Tennessee which sold at 5500gns. This Sportsman’s Scout son is a full ET brother to their 60,000gns lamb from Thursday’s Scottish National Sale at Lanark and sold to a consortium of buyers including Thomas MacTaggart, Rascarrel, Robert Laird, Cambwell, the Nesbitt family, Alwent, Danny Graham, BallaGlonney and Wyn Jones.

This one contained strong Loosebeare bloodlines, with his sire’s dam having been sold by the Quicks to John Howard in a private £4000 sale.
