Fraser and Helen Tweed’s shearling ram Ballycoose Ignatus lit up the shearling ram trade at the Northern Ireland National Texel sale, Ballymena.
Selling at 7000gns, this son of Scolton Fieldmarshall is out of a dam by Duvarren Cantona and sold with a top 5% index.
Next in line at 5000gns was Ballycoose I6 from the same vendors, with this being another by Scolton Fieldmarshall and this time out of a dam by Fearn Dusautor. He has a top 25% index.
And then making 4400gns was Clougher Inferno from David Chestnutt. He’s a son of Drumcon Humdinger and out of a dam by Glenparke Fifty Fifty.
Close behind at 4200gns was Ballycoose Ideal from the Tweeds. This is an Avon Vale Real Deal son out of a dam by Harestone Casablanca and sold with a top 1% index.
