James Herdman’s Templepark flock took the top price at the Ballymena Babes sale when selling a Milnbank Ed Shearing son at 1600gns. Sale leader was HKP2202244, a gimmer out of a dam by Kilcurley Volleyman and in-lamb to Strathbogie Gaffer. She was the pick of Stewart Ferris, Bellefield.
Second best were five lots at 1000gns, with the first of these being from Nigel Ross, Glenross. This was RVG2201130, a Forkins Email daughter out of a dam by Alderview Bookmaker and in-lamb with twins to Gorkins Gangsta. She sold to J J Robinson, Glenarm, Ballymena.
Next at this price was another from Templepark, HKP2202245. She’s a full sister to the sale leader and was again sold in-lamb to Strathbogie Gaffer. This one sold to John Kealey, Magheraboy, Dungiven.
Then also making 1000gns was another from Nigel Ross, RVG2201212. She’s by Forkins Email and out of a dam by Curley Asher. In-lamb to Ballygroogan Fiddler with twins she was taken by previous buyer J J Robinson.
One from the Blackstown flock of Messrs Wilson and Moses was next at that level, with this being WWB2201803. This Sportsmans Encore daughter is out of a dam by Allanfauld Archimedes and sold carrying twins to Lylehill Grassman. She was bought by John Owen, Hen Gapel.
And the final 1000gns call came for one from Sam McNeilly, Titanium. This was XST2200808 a Sportsmans Dynamite daughter out of a Milnbank-bred dam by Kingspark Bentley. In-lamb with twins to Auldhouseburn Fandabidozi she was knocked down to previous buyer John Kealey.
Close behind at 950gns was another from Glenross, RVG2201162. Sired by Tullagh Cherokee Chief she is out of a dam by Curley Usher and sold carrying twins to Forkins Gangsta when bought by Thomas McKee, Larne.
