John Green’s Greenall flock, Melrose, has been named the champion flock in the Northern Area Texel Breeder’s Club’s flock competition under judge Reece Stevenson, Brick Hills.
The Greenall flock had won the large flock class, with the reserve championship going to the winner of the small flock class, the Langlands flock of Jeff and Sue Wilkinson.
The Langlands flock was also the winner of a new class introduced to the competition this year for single stock ewes, with this being won by YWJ2201147, a Claybury Extra Special daughter.
