To help streamline the entry process for Society National Sales this year the Society is moving to an online system for the pre-entry process.
This move has been made on a number of grounds, with the main intention being making the entry system more accessible for members and simplifying the process for both members and office staff.
In addition, it will help reduce Society printing and postage costs and enable the Society’s resources to be used more effectively, explains Society chief executive John Yates.
“Historically, all members have been sent a paper pre-entry form, but with most members entering National sales being fully online members and only about 20% of the overall membership entering National Sales, there is a significant amount of wastage associated with this process. This is both in terms of physical paper waste and also wasted money in the printing and posting of documents.”
As a result, all National Sale pre-entry details will be available on the Sales pages of the Society website www.texel.uk/salesfrom mid-May for members to download if they choose, while the pre-entry system itself will consist of an online web form for members to complete.
The detailed entry forms are also currently being reviewed to allow for the addition of individual animals to an online form in 2020.
Those wishing to do so will still be able to complete a paper pre-entry form and return it to the office by post or email if they have downloaded and completed it from the sales page of the website.
