Lylehill lamb leads Ballymena at 2900gns

Alan Glendinning led the NITBC sale at Ballymena with ram lamb Lylehill Joost. This son of the imported sire Annefield Idol is out of a dam by the homebred Lylehill Gunshot and was taken by Henry Gamble, Springwell.

Second top at 1800gns was another from the same home Lylehill John Deere. This is another by Idol and out of a dam by Mullan Eureka and found a new home with Colin Price.

Andrew Fyffe, Fairywater, then paid 1550gns for one from Roger Strawbrige, Tamnamoney Jericho. He’s by the privately purchased Douganhill Gangster and out of a dam by Sportsmans Dare Devil.

And then at 1300gns was Curley John Boy from John Trimble. He’s by Forkins Hawkeye and out of a dam by Auldhouseburn Fandabidozi and was the pick of John Hanna.

Close behind at 1200gns was Martin and Cyril Millar’s ram lamb, Millars Jedi. He’s by Bellefield Im The Boy and out of a dam by the homebred Millars Eye of The Tiger and was knocked down to Sharon White.

Shearling rams

Topping the shearling trade at 1350gns was Willsborough Ivanisevic from Elliott Bell. Sired by Emlach Hercules and out of a dam by Roxburgh Dirrington, he sold to Melvin Cairns.

Then at 1250gns was Duvarren India from John Watson. This Kilduff Farley son is out of a dam by Duvarren Colorado and sold to Patrick McLaughlin.

Making 1200gns was Mary Clarke’s best of the sale, Mullan Impact. He’s by Drumderg Hitman and out of a dam by Kildowney Evo and was bought by S P Fitzgerald.
