Sportsmans Ivanhoe from Messrs Boden and Davies sold for the sale topping bid of 1600gns at the Derbyshire Club’s sale, with this one being by the 30,000gns Milnbank Hunter and out of a dam by Haymount Fan Dabi Dozi. He sold to Charles Asher for the McLean flock.
Following him at 1300gns was one from Charlie Boden, Mellow Vale India. This is again by Milnbank Hunter and is out of a dam by Castlecairn Doodlebug. Sold with a top 10% texelplus index, he was bought by P G Read Farming.
Then making 1080gns was Sportsmans Image, an Uppermill Highway Express son out of a dam by Garngour Craftsman. He carries a top 25% index and found a new home with George Pearson.
Females
Top call in the females was a 920gns bid for BGS2407365 from the Sportsmans pen. Sired by Knap General Lee, she’s out of a Haymount Fan Dabi Dozi-sired dam and sold to Ben Vernon, Charben.
Second best here was an 810gns sale for BGS2407369, with this being a Knap Grumpy daughter out of a dam by Seaforde Empire King. Buying her was R A Davenport.
And at 800gns was one from Mike Turner’s Okehall pen, TMO2511995. This ewe lamb is by Auldhouseburn Hanky Panky and out of a dam by Holtridge Golden Arrow. She was taken by J A Nicholls.
