William Knox – Haddo

The Society was saddened to learn of the passing of William Knox of the Haddo flock, Aberdeenshire.

A lifelong farmer, William founded the Haddo flock in 1990 and the flock quickly hits its stride in both the show and sales ring.

A noted stockman, William enjoyed success with Texels throughout the flock’s history, with the family achieving a unique double in 2018 when winning the breed championship at both the Royal Highland Show and the Scottish National Sale with the same ram lamb, Haddo Balvenie. Sales highlights included the aforementioned Balvenie at 40,000gns and Haddo Ringleader at 50,000gns.

The Society sends it condolences to the Knox family, including William’s wife, Joan and sons Graeme and Andrew.
