There’s a great opportunity to win some excellent prizes to help you make the most of your sheep farming enterprise in this summer’s Texel Society competition.
Thanks to the generosity of industry leading sponsors, Agrii and Rappa, this year there are not one, but two super prizes on offer.
Both prizes offer the winners the opportunity to improve their farming systems and grassland management to boost productivity and, in turn, returns.
For its part Agrii is offering a 10-acre forage improvement package, including 10 acres of MasterLeys, 10 acres of digital mapping, 10 acres of ProClover herbicide and more, with this prize valued at more than £1200.
Meanwhile, Rappa is offering a bespoke 10-acre electrice fencing system, featuring and ATV Winder, a Fence carrier and two x three-line lightweight fencing kits. Each kit includes; 50 Superlite plastic posts, one three-line reel post, one three-line anchor post and three pre-loaded 600m polywire reels. This prize is worth more than £2100.
