Kitrob sale hits 3200gns top mark


Topping the recent Kitrob production sale at 3200gns was the ewe lamb featured on the catalogue cover, JOK1701077 by Sportsmans Tremendous II and out of a Carran Upper Class daughter this February born lamb was purchased by Stephen Cobbald from Actonhall, Suffolk.

Stephen then went on to purchase the next best priced ewe lamb at 3000gns. She was also by Sportsmans Tremendous II and out of a Carran Upper Class daughter.

JOK1701113, another Sportsmans Tremendous II sired lamb, sold for2000gns to J & D Lewis from Sandbach, Cheshire. This lamb was out of a homebred ewe by Baltier Vampire.

Following closely behind this at 1950gns was JOK1701066 by the same sire as the previous lots mentioned this ewe lamb was out of a Baltier Panther daughter and the successful bidder on the day was M Dent from Bishop Auckland.

The pick of the shearling gimmer section was JOK1600971 by Baltier Panther and out of a Haddo Ignitor daughter. She was purchased by MR & JE Davies from Austwick, Lancaster for 1700gns.

The next best price was 1600gns for a 2015 born ewe bred by Idris Morrisʼ Fachell flock. Sired by Sportsmans V8 and out of a Fachell Nutter daughter she was purchased by A Jones from Hendre Park, Caernarfon.

Averages; 17 aged ewes £1641.74; 32 gimmers £1681.84; 27 ewe lambs £1883.56 (Harrison and Hetherington)
