Drumderg lamb leads Gortin Sale at 720gns

Topping the NI Texel Club Sale at Gortin was a 720gns bid for a ram lamb from Alister Breen’s Drumderg flock.

This lamb, a son of Garngour Aristotle out of a Cornerstone Tin Tin-sired dam, had been champion in the pre-sale show under judge Cathal Harkin and went home with Vincent Keenan, Co Tyrone.

Then selling at 590gns was a shearling from Adrian Liggtt’s Corbo pen. This Ballyhivistock Yardstick son sold to William Patterson, Kilclean.

Following that at 580gns was a Poseyhill Yusef son from John Young’s Kilrail flock. This one sold to Peter McKenna, Clougher.

Another from the same home then sold at 520gns, with this one being a Blackstown Wayne son bought by P Devine, Plumbridge.

At 420gns was a lamb from Andrew Fyffe’s Fairywater flock. This Milnbank Womaniser son was knocked down to Samuel Pauley, Sixmilecross.

Claiming second place and reserve champion were Graham and Joanne McFarland, Drewmar Texels.  Their Ballyhivistock Yardstick son was bought by Martin Hegarty, Sixmilecross, for 320gns.
