Peacehay wrap up successful Christmas Present Sale

Topping the Gloucester and Border Counties Texel Breeders Club sale at Worcester was a gimmer from the Chave family’s Peacehay flock, Somerset.

This gimmer, CFP1601496, a daughter of Clarks Wizard is out of a dam by Cennen Magnum and sold in lamb to Lyonshall King of Clubs. Buying her at 1420gns was W L Braund, Whitstone, Holsworthy.

Following her at 1220gns was another from the same home, CFP1601454, another by Clarks Wizard and this time out of a Scolton Panther daughter. Again in-lamb to Lyonshall King of Clubs she was knocked down to D and H Smith, Tockington, Bristol.

Then at 1200gns was a third from the Peacehay flock, CFP1601389. Sired by Castlecairn SAS Commando, she is out of a dam by Lyonshall King of Clubs and was offered having been served by Clarks Wizard. She was taken by D G and E A Thomas, Whitland, Carmarthenshire.

Next best at 1000gns was the pre-sale champion from the Quick family’s Loosebeare flock, QEL1606407. She’s by the homebred Loosebeare Voomer and out of a dam by Tycam Napoleon. This one is in-lamb to Brijon You’re the Boy and sold to previous buyers, D and H Smith.

And a 900gns sale saw Jim and Nicola Hartwright sell their reserve champion from the pre-sale show, HWN1602644. Sired by Loosebeare Voomer and out of a dam by Cherryvale Shergar, she sold in-lamb to Millar’s Abu Dhabi and was taken by Elliot Gisborne, Charlton Hill, Cheltenham.
