Northumberland Show Texel class results

The Supreme Champion chosen by Judge Mr H Woodmass – Harene Texels, was Goldies Supreme, GJG1100397.   He is 3 years old and has an index of 417. His Sire is Livery Predator, VTL09922, out of a Straidarran Legacy ewe.  The Reserve Champion was a shearling ewe from the Ettrick flock of Gordon Gray, GGH1303026.  Sired by Plasucha Tiger out of Thinacres Grenade.

The first prize group of three from the Ettrick flock also won the inter-breed group for the fourth year running, and the Champion Texel was also the inter-breed Champion sheep. Described by the inter-breed judge as having a tremendous carcase, length and character and was full of solid meat which it carried well.
