Clinterty gimmer leads Scottish Club female sale at 2800gns
A gimmer from Brian Buchan’s Aberdeenshire-based Clinterty flock led the prices at Saturday’s Texel female sale on behalf of the Scottish Texel Breeders’ Club at Lanark.
The gimmer, BBY1100221, is by Clinterty Par One and out of an Ettrick Mighty Mouse daughter. She sold in-lamb to Knock Tarquin and is a full brother to a 9000gns ewe lamb and tups sold at 14,000gns and 11,000gns. Buying her was Eire-based breeder John McGee, Co Donegal, for his Muckrish flock
Following her at 1900gns was the best from the major reduction of the Scott family’s Drumpark flock, Moray. This was a ewe lamb by Knock Serberus, SRK1200333. She’s out of a dam by Kelso Oxygen and sold to the Woodmass family, Linstock, Carlisle, for their Harene flock.
Also at this money was a Drumpark ewe by Kelso Oxygen, SRK09757. She’s out of a dam by Haddo Knockout and sold in-lamb to Knock Serberus. Buying this one was Alasdair Beaton, Falkirk, for his Wester Crosshill flock.
And making 1800gns was a gimmer from the Deveronvale flock of Graham Morrison. This was MGV1100136, a Glenside Razzle Dazzle daughter out of a dam by Glenside Likeable. She sold in-lamb to Strathbogie Terminator and was claimed by the McCollam family, Co Antrim.
