Leading the trade on a day of exceptional demand was a ewe lamb from Ben Vernon’s Charben flock when selling for 3000gns. This was VBC1702565, an ET bred lamb by Sportsmans Wild Thing and out of a Stainton Vigliante dam. She sold to Eamonn Vaughan, Partridge Nest Farm, having been champion in the pre-sale show.

Second best at 1280gns was a gimmer from the Boden family’s Sportsmans pen, BGS1602252. This Mellor Vale Wildcat daughter is out of a Tullylagan Tonka daughter and sold in-lamb to Clinterty Yogi Bear. This one was taken by Ulmas Farm, Washingley, Peterborough.

Another embryo pregnancy from the same home then sold at 900gns, with this one also being by Garngour Alabama and out of a Glenside Valhalla daughter. It was also bought by Mike Turner.
