A gimmer from Jim Wilson’s Blacktown flock took the top call at the Northern Lights sale when making 2500gns. The sale leader, a Teiglum Target daughter is out of a ewe by Blackstown Rambo which goes back to the noted Clynnog Joe Tex. She sold to Ronan Gallagher, Co Sligo, carrying to Springhill V Tech.
Following her at 2100gns was one from the Springwell flock of Henry Gamble and family. This was a Cambwell Terminator daughter out of a dam by Derryvore Ranger and in-lamb to Eglur Viscount, she was knocked down to Andrew Fyffe for his Fairywater flock.
Then making 1900gns was the Currie family’s best, an ET-bred Glenside Topgun daughter from the Tullagh flock. Bred out of a Gruig Outlaw dam and in-lamb to the 2013 Lanark champion, Tophill Union Jack, she went home with Adrian Liggett of the Corbo flock, Omagh.
Her full ET sister then made 1700gns when sold in-lamb to Tullylagan Tonka to Mr Williamson, Omagh.
A total of four lots then sold at 1600gns. The first of these was another from the Blackstown flock. This was a Springhill Twenty Twelve daughter, out of a dam by Millcomb Powerhouse and in-lamb to Sprinhill V Tech. She sold to Alistair Breen, Enniskillen, for his Drumderg flock.
Henry Gamble then sold two by Drumgooland Tattoo at this money. The first, out of a dam by Meadowvale Paorama and in-lamb to Eglur Viscount, was the pick of Jim Wilson, Blackstown, while the other, out of a Kilcoan Popeye daughter and carrying to Knap Vogue, sold to Adrian Liggett.
Also at 1600gns was a Braehead gimmer from David Warwick. A Cornerstone Tin Tin daughter, out of a ewe by Milestonehill O’Gara and in-lamb to Strathbogie Uno, she was purchased by Alistair Breen.
