Mr Gault’s sale topper, GAF1100309, is a daughter of Duncryne Ringmaster out of a dam by Douganhill McFly which is herself and ET sister to 28,000gns Forkins Nijinsky and 16,000gns Cherryvale Nijinsky.

She goes back to 12,500gns sire Knock Impulse. Sold in-lamb to 20,000gns Knock Travis she had been flushed in September with eight embryos implanted. Buying her was Paul O’Connor for the Drumgooland flock, Seaforde, Co Down.

Taking the sale’s second best call of 8500gns was a gimmer from Richard Henderson’s Ballynahone flock, Magharafelt, Co Londonderry.

Mr Henderson’s best price came for HBR1100239, a Maineview Lionheart daughter out of another dam by the influential Douganhill McFly. Also tracing back to Knock Impulse she was sold in-lamb to this year’s 6000gns Ballymena sale topper Braehead Touch of Class. She heads to Ayrshire with new breeders Hugh and Alan Blackwood, Auldhouseburn.

Another from Mr Henderson took the third highest price of the sale at 8000gns. This was HBR 1100270 a paternal sister to the sale topper, being another by 6000gns Duncryne Ringmaster. She is out of a Ballynahone Lancelot dam and again goes back to Knock Impulse. Sold having been served by Teiglum Porn Star and was bought by Stephen Cobbald, Suffolk, for the Lavenham flock.

Alastair Gault then followed that with a 4800gns sale for a daughter of 5000gns sire Watchknowe Rustic Boy from the Forkins consignment. This was GAF1100308 out of a dam by Douganhill McFly and going back to 10,000gns Castlecairn Kennedy. This one sold having being served by 12,000gns Sportsman’s Scania and is out of the Forkins show ewe from 2011 and 2012. Buying her was the Millcomb flock of Messrs Millar and McComb, Ballyclare, Co Antrim.

A 3600gns call secured a Cherryvale gimmer from Alastair Gault’s daughter and son, Beth and Jack Gault. This Watchknowe Rustic Boy daughter is out of a Teiglum ewe by Garngour Major and sold carrying triplets to Knock Travis.
